  1. Save the floors!

Posted by Sharon on 3rd Apr 2018

We just had our hardwood floors refinished and Soft Paws was recommended to save our floors Our lab doesn't mind at all having the caps on his nails and the floors are beautiful.

  2. My dog is welcome on my floors again!

Posted by Zeashan on 28th Feb 2018

Having expensive hardwood floors and a husky means if her hair grows on her feet just long enough, she will slip, run in place, and tear through the finish on your floors. This is basically a battle against time and how religious you are about visits to the groomer.

Soft paws eliminates most of the remaining risk between visits. They’re relatively simple to apply, we’ll see if my dog chews them off! But so far they seem to be working and my floors aren’t grateful.

My biggest gripe right now is the economics of it, what comes out to 10$ a month for rubber and super glue. I guess I’m just angry I didn’t think of it first! Well done. One small piece of advice, put the product on Amazon and open it to the masses :). It’s hard to find this product online.

  3. I was skeptical, now I'm a believer!

Posted by Sal on 11th Sep 2017

I'm getting ready to move in with my sister for a bit and she has nice hardwood floors we don't want to damage, so figured we'd give these a try. I've used them on cats many times in my life and been very happy with them, but was concerned that they wouldn't stay on my extremely active, 50 pound Heeler/Husky/Something mix that I take out twice a day for a very vigorous game of fetch. He tears around the park like a madman, running in and out of the water, and these things stay put! My dog also has a few toes that grow at an odd angle and really irritate the adjacent pad, causing a red, swollen sore. These have fixed that problem!! I got the XXL, which I did have to trim down lengthwise, but width wise a good fit. I don't expect these to prevent slippage on floors, but am feeling better moving in with my sister knowing my guy won't ruin her floors! My dog has super hairy feet, so I wet his feet first to get the hair out of the way, dried the nails off well, and applied the SoftPaws. This way I ensured no little toe hairs were glued into the caps, lessening the chance he would lick and chew at them. I also gave him a yummy treat to chew on immediately after applying them - by the time he finished it, he didn't even remember I put them on his feet. He has completely left them alone! Very happy customer - thank you!

  4. TOE SOCKS

Posted by Unknown on 30th Aug 2017

If you are purchasing this product so that you pet doesn't slip on wood floors, don't bother. I actually think this made things worse for my dog. Remeber the old toe socks? That's what these things seem like for my dog--bulky things jammed between her toenails spreading them at an awkward angle. Now they are glued in place, and aside from one paw that fell off almost immediately, I'm not sure how to pry the rest off. I gave it 2 stars because it probably does prevent scratching. It's just definitely not the product I was hoping for.

Message from Dr Schelling at Soft Paws:
We have had some people say they help with slippage, and others not. Apparently it varies from dog to dog.
And the nail caps may appear different becasue they make the nails more prominent, but tthey do not interfere with how the nails are angled. Generally it is that they are just more readily visible with the nail caps on. And dog's nails can angle differently.
As far as removing them, please contact us and we will be glad to assist. Start by just trimming the tip of the nail cap. This will help break the adhesive seal.
Please contact us with any questions.

  5. literally staunched the bleeding

Posted by Dawn on 9th Aug 2017

I have a 12yr old aussie with neuropathy who drags both back feet while walking. He had worn the nails on his back feet down to the quick so they bled. Even wearing boots when outside he started dragging on the carpet inside enough for his quicks to bleed. Soft Paws protected his quicks and gave his nails time to grow back out. So very thankful for this product!

  6. Fun Saver!

Posted by Theresa on 1st Aug 2017

Our 6 year old Golden has elbow dysplasia which causes him to put more pressure on his back paws. Because of this, his back nails are extremely short and it doesn't take much for him to get them bleeding because the quick is right there. We use SoftPaws so that he is not wearing down the nail and it protects the quick. He spends a lot of time in the pool and these stay on extremely well. Without this product, his activity would be very limited. Thank you for making such an awesome product!!

  7. Perfect for Puppy Claws

Posted by Linda on 26th Jun 2017

We have an 8-month Borador (lab-border collie). He is 45 lbs - got the XXL and they fit well. We are training him not to jump but while he's learning, softpaws have saved us many inadvertent scratches! Also helping keep our truck leather interior and new wood floors looking good. Will be a lifelong Softpaws client! Great product!

  8. An easy way to quiet the dog's tapping :)

Posted by Dan on 13th Jun 2017

I ordered Soft Paws for my chocolate lab. She has a habit of stomping her feet on the wood floor in the living room when she wants to wake us up in the morning. Soft Paws help soften the sound, and look stylish at the same time. Easy to apply and they appear to be holding up well.

  9. Helps my senoir dog with traction on hardwood floor!

    Posted by smorey86@gmail.com on 18th Apr 2017

My 14 year old border collie has some mobility problems and slipping on the wood floors resulted in some injuries. The soft paws nail covers truly help, she will even chase her ball around the house again! Thank you Soft Paws!

  10. Awesome purchase

Posted by Ashley on 4th Apr 2017

We are so happy with our soft paws! We bought a new home and were worried about our goldendoodle scratching our new hardwood floors, so we gave soft paws a try and we will be a recurrent customer! Great product! Highly recommend and wonderful customer service! They run a bit smaller than listed so you may need to size up, we had to in order to have the size the fits our big boy! He is 62 pounds and we had to order the size above his recommendation (want to say it's the XXL).
