Developed by a veterinarian, Soft Paws® nail caps are made in the USA using non-toxic vinyl. The nail caps are applied to your cat's claws using a non-toxic, cold-bonding, veterinary-grade adhesive, and are a completely safe and humane solution to cat scratching problems. Soft Paws do not interfere with the normal extension and retraction of claws, and most cats don't even know they are wearing them.

Economical Price
Only $19.95 per package for a 4 to 6 month supply.

Each Soft Paws® kit contains 40 nail caps, 2 tubes of adhesive, applicator tips, and easy-to-follow instructions. One kit contains enough for 4 front paw applications and each application lasts approximately 4 to 6 weeks, which makes each kit lasts approximately 4 to 6 months.

Small Size: (Approximately 6 months old — Approximately 6-8 pounds)

Some kittens at 5 months may need the small size if they are growing fast, or are large-breed cats.

Small-boned, adult cats often wear the small size. If your cat seems smaller than an average, full-grown cat, choose small.

  1. Kitten Problem

Posted by Maria on 18th Apr 2016

I received soft claws a little over a month ago. I was really happy to get it. I fallowed the instructions to a T on how to apply it to your cats claws. I have a kitten and than she was 6 months old. The caps fit but the thing is my kitten didn't like it and ripped the caps off. One causing the sheath to tear. She has learned how to take the caps off. I have tried everything to make them taste bad but nothing stays on the caps. So my 6 month supply is out already because of that. I think that you should give out a free trial for the first time to see how it is. Or invent one that taste bad to the cats till the cats get used to the caps. My try on this was a bust. I was disappointed, because I got the caps because it was an alternative to declawing on which the place she is living stated cats need to be declawed and i just can't do that to her. She don't do damage but this is just a precaution.

  2. Color or Clear?

Posted by NKW on 30th Mar 2016

While color seemed fun, I will only use clear in the future in order to see how much glue is being used in each cap. Also, my cat should have been able to wear the small size, but they were too small. As only a few would fit, my initial order was wasted. There should be some kind of trial pack available.

  3. Size may not be correct

Posted by Unknown on 24th Mar 2016

Bought the size small claw covers for my 7.2 pound Siamese kitten and they only covered the tip of the claw (yes they were trimmed before application). So I just wasted $23. Had to order the medium. So be careful. Too bad they didn't offer a trial size for cost of shipping only. Otherwise, they do work well and are difficult for a cat to get off. So far they have lasted one week with only one claw covering that needed replacement. My cat hates them and tries on a regular basis to pry them off, so far just the one came off. In the end, I do plan on continuing with the cost and hassle as it is the best product out there.

  4. Cute but not ideal

Posted by Kara on 21st Mar 2016

I recently purchased the pink glitter (size small) nail caps for my kitty, Leia. They fit purrfectly (lol) and look adorable! A complaint I have is that the cone caps for the glue don't stay on and I was covered in glue by the time I got the caps on. My other issue is that they don't stay on for very long. Now, my cat is extremely active and is constantly scratching (hence the purchase)the furniture, but most of them fell off within a week or two.

  5. Great, humane alternative to declawing

Posted by Erica S. on 16th Mar 2016

My kitten has been tearing up everything in the house, but I'm adamantly against declawing, for humane reasons. Soft Paws work wonders! She did not like it (AT ALL) when we were putting them on, but once on, she didn't even notice them! She's only been wearing them for a few days, but she hasn't managed to pry any of them off yet, and there are no more tears in my curtains. Completely satisfied, and highly recommend!

  6. Worth the effort

Posted by Rachel on 25th Feb 2016

We cut our cat's nails for several months but decided to try Soft Paws for extra protection when we moved into oir new house. It took more time than trimming their nails to get them on correctly, but the difference was noticed immediately when I awoke the following morning to one kitty happily kneeding my head. To my surprise, it felt rather nice, like getting your hair brushed. Not waking up to claws in your scalp is totally worth the extra time and money!

  7. Humans like them more than kitty

Posted by Jamie on 22nd Feb 2016

I had ordered what I thought to be legit SoftPaws online elsewhere and was unhappy with them. When I realized they were knock-offs I ordered direct from the SoftPaws site. I like the true SoftPaws much more than the highly rated knock-offs.

My husband is very touchy about claws and wanted to declaw our new 5 year old rescue kitty. After consulting a vet, he changed his mind and we are committing to a regimen of trimming every few weeks with the help of a groomer.

I think the SoftPaws are an excellent product and truly do protect skin and furniture. We humans like them more than our kitty does. She tolerates them. The first time we applied them to front and back paws and she quickly ripped them off the back paws. The fornt paws lasted longer - the first one fell off around 4 weeks but for the most part they lasted more than 5 weeks.

One problem is that they don;t all fall off at nearly the same rate. My husband starting whining about her claws when only 2 had fallen so the groomer had to remove 8 and then trim and re-apply. Kitty was very unhappy.

We may go without and only trim. If my husband were not so whiny, I think I could be happier with them.

  8. So far so good

Posted by Unknown on 19th Feb 2016

Stayed on for a week now - couldn't make them fit on dew claws

  9. love softpaws

Posted by Unknown on 4th Feb 2016

We debated getting our new kitten declawed, but then we found softpaws. They do occasionally fall off, so we just replace them as it happens. It only takes a minute to replace them. We give our kitty a special treat after each 'pedicure', so she associates it with good things. She looks so cute with them on. I would say order a size up, except for small kittens.

  10. camos toes

Posted by Unknown on 21st Jan 2016

My kitty Camo is 8 mos. old. Easy to put on and they dont bother her any.
